FRANK D. MAZZOLI

Frank D. Mazzoli is a comic book artist based in Cesena.

He has worked for BOOM! Studios, Sumerian Comics, Titan Comics, and Italian publishers like Tunuè and Leviathan Labs, along with many more independent projects.

Highlights of his career so far include the graphic novel "Appetite for Destruction", for the Guns' N' Roses and Sumerian Comics, and his work on the series "Dune: Edge of a Crysknife", for BOOM! Studios, along with many iconic covers, such as the one for "Rebel Moon: Nemesis", for Titan Comics.

What was the first comic you bought?

The first American comic book was definitely "Batman Year One". Extending to manga, I'm pretty sure it was either "Dragon Ball" or "Berserk".

Favourite character to draw?

Batman, Hell Boy and Nightwing.

Biggest artistic influences?

I think my biggest influences are Frank Quitely, Matteo Scalera and Roger Ibáñez.

Favourite convention snack?

Pizza is the answer!
