What was the first comic you bought?
My first comics were Fantastic Four #249 and #250. I read that story arc cover to cover over and over when I was little.
Favourite character to draw?
Optimus Prime, hands down. As limiting as Transformers can be from a posing standpoint, I’ve grown to love the challenge of making all that machinery feel dynamic and expressive.
Biggest artistic influences?
In comics, definitely John Byrne. In animation, Don Bluth and Glen Keane. What really draws me to all of them is the confidence and ease in their line work — they push poses, emotion, and story so effortlessly.
Favourite convention snack?
A hot dog and a Dr Pepper. I don’t know why, but that combo always seems to become my convention guilty pleasure.
