Dan Quintana is a Los Angeles-based artist who paints eerie, goddess-like figures immersed in figurative and ethereal worlds.

 

Dan began experimenting with oil painting in high school then shifted his focus to comics and street art, creating numerous murals which can still be seen around LA.

 

He has worked for DC, Marvel, Boom! Studios, Image, Dark Horse, Dynamite, Sony, Lionsgate, Warner Brothers and Mondo.

What was the first comic you bought?

I believe the oldest book in my hands was a Jonah Hex book from the 80's. I began collecting as kid in the 90's such as Jim Lee's Xmen covers, Spawn​, The Maxx, Bone and Trencher.

Favourite character to draw?

Anything with bats.

Biggest artistic influences?

Film cinematographers.

Favourite convention snack?

Extremely dark chocolate.
